“Because wisdom is innate, we can all enlighten ourselves.”
Huieneng
Each of us has a Wild Self.
Read that again.
Say it out loud, “I have a Wild Self.”
What feelings and thoughts arise?
Do you know your Wild Self?
If not, perhaps it is time to build a relationship with YOU.
We each possess a unique song to share, and Life desires our symphony, the one it has entrusted us to complete. We know the melody and the notes, but somehow, assembling it all often eludes us. We catch glimpses, perhaps awakened by the gentle hum of a bee or the haunting call of an owl in the quiet night. Maybe in the early morning hours, as we sip our coffee and gaze at the sunrise, we feel a stirring deep within us, calling us to remember who we are, where we come from, and why we are here.

“Within us are the bones to change ourselves and our world. Within us is the breath and our truths and our longings — together they are the song, the creation hymn we have been yearning to sing.”
Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D., Women Who Run With Wolves
Deep within us resides a Wild Self, unbounded by the systems and conditioning of this world. This self knows the Truth and Purpose we are meant to embody. It surfaces during unexpected moments through intuition, tingling sensations along our skin, tension in our guts, or tightness in our chest and throat. Whether while we sleep or in daydreams we sense it under the surface of our day to day existence. Often it comes quietly, and sometimes it shatters our reality, clearing the chaos to make room for growth.
The Wild Self is often hidden from the world, sometimes even from our conscious awareness. Yet, it is crucial for us to connect with this essence of who we are. Wild. Sovereign. Free. Limitless. Full of Potential! What thoughts arise as you read those words? Are you afraid of your power? Have you been conditioned so deeply that trusting yourself feels intimidating?
We often believe that we need rules and rulers to keep us SAFE. This is the word used to maintain control. Humanity is controlled by fear. Just look at our current systems and you will see the pervasive fear mongering coming at us from all sides. We have been convinced that we cannot trust our instincts to ensure our safety; taught to trust those in authority more than ourselves. We have been unconsciously using fear based choice making and overtime learned to override our intuitive guidance and in doing so, have given our power away bit by bit.
Yet, do you truly feel safe now? Do you harbor a sense of lack or fear? Do you worry about your future? Are you freely expressing yourself, or do you hold back, restraining your words and actions? I’m not referring to violence or cruel outbursts; I’m talking about the necessity of being yourself, expressing your thoughts and feelings clearly and boldly. How many of us genuinely do that?
Are you connected with a felt sense of your true abundance? Do you feel abundant? I am not talking only about financial wealth. We have been given a picture of wealth and success that may or may not align with YOUR definition of wealth and success. Abundance is a state of mind that leads to you manifesting it in your life and don’t forget that abundance includes your sense of well-being; mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially. It is all these things and more.
What about pursuing your dreams? Do you believe that you can live the life you desire, on your terms? Do you believe you can pursue the business, job, career, education, home, or experiences you cherish?

Or do you think these opportunities are reserved for others, not for you?
Do you shrink back, people-pleasing, remaining silent as others rise to the top? Do you find yourself stuck in a dead-end job or relationship? Do you feel lost, tired or confused, as if your efforts are consistently thwarted? Is it as if life conspires to keep you entrenched in patterns that belittle your potential? Is your Wild Self inside you wanting to let out a primal scream?
You possess a Wild Self deep within, one that knows your pain and path. The wisdom necessary for your journey is encoded within you, waiting for you to tap into it and learn how to access it. The map, compass, and Wild Wisdom you need, you already carry within. Your Wild Self knows the Wild Wisdom of Life and nature. It understand the seasons, cycles and patterns for growth and transformation.
Your body is your compass. Sensory awareness is your guide! More than any external guru, you can trust the inner guru residing in you. Our bodies are designed to lead us toward wholeness at every level, including living our purpose and achieving peace and wellness. Sadly, we are not taught how to harness this Wild Wisdom or cultivate a relationship with our Wild Self.
Connecting with our Wild Self requires time. It is an inner journey of self-discovery and recovery. We must revisit the places where we betrayed or abandoned our Wild Self, lovingly singing over these wounded parts, calling them Home, and nurturing them. When we left these fragments behind, we deferred our power; so, we must reclaim it and learn how to wield it responsibly. Our Wild Self is wild meaning it doesn’t conform to societal systems, yet it is also Wise and Compassionate. It does not defer its power, nor does it covet what belongs to others; our Wild Selves know their worth and are content.
I am currently creating a three-month program “Wild Wisdom”, designed to help others reconnect with their Wild Self and inner Wild Wisdom. If you long to elevate your life, learn how to listen to your innate wisdom, gain confidence in using your intuition, and develop a deeper, abiding trust in yourself, then this program is for you. As a Reiki Master Teacher and Energetic Architect, I utilize power-with dynamics to support your empowerment and transformation. The program will encompass teachings on energy, establishing sacred boundaries, effective communication, sensory awareness, and embodiment practices. We will connect in a private Facebook group and via Zoom. This workshop will be released in early 2025.
