“You’ll be fine. Feeling unsure and lost is part of your path. Don’t avoid it. See what those feelings are showing you and use them. Take a breath. You’ll be okay, even if you don’t feel okay all the time.” – Louis C.K.
In times of chaos, we can lose our mooring and feel tossed about by the winds of change. Staying grounded becomes essential when the world around us feels uncertain. We are living in a time of rapid transformation. Our societal systems are being challenged, and while that can feel daunting, it is not inherently bad. We must be mindful of our choices because what we select now will shape our future.
For decades, I have heard complaints that the system is broken; I have echoed those sentiments as well. Yet, making changes has often felt overwhelming and beyond my control.
Thus, I have focused on myself and my immediate domain: my home, relationships, community, and work. I have asked myself questions such as, “What do I want to see in the world?” and “How can I be the change I wish to see?”
Often, the small steps I take feel “not enough” to my critical mind, but I know a fundamental truth that keeps me steady: everything we think, do, and say matters. Our actions ripple outward and impact the world in ways we cannot always see. We may not know how far-reaching our actions are, but I believe they extend much further than we can imagine.
Each day, we choose how we will present ourselves to the world and those we encounter. Our way of being is often unconsciously shaped by the truths that reside within us.
What truths live inside you? These can serve as your anchor points or reference points for guidance and stability. For me, I have always been a seeker, connected with “the other side,” the etheric realm, energy, spirit, the quantum field, consciousness, the infinite unknowable, or God—however one chooses to label that divinely intelligent creator of all that is; I call it Life.
Life exists within and outside of us, moving through all living things, and we share a dynamic relationship with it. As a seeker, I have pursued truth, knowledge beyond what I could see, and the sacred. It is in this pursuit that we touch the essence of who we are: sacred beings residing in a human earthen vessel. Our souls dwell in the stillness located within our hearts, carrying knowledge and wisdom from lifetimes lived and from the greater consciousness that encompasses all things. We are divine consciousness experiencing humanity.
When we arrive on Earth through the mystical portal of our mothers, we forget our past lives, origins, and plans for this life. We come here to cultivate intimate relationships with the Earth and one another. While here, we embody an “earthbound identity,” a term coined by Michelle Frink of Morphing Energetics. Initially, this concept was difficult for me to fully embrace, but I now recognize its truth. It is a spiritual concept, but a physical reality none the less.
We are literally composed of the Earth. Just as the Earth is 70% covered in water, our bodies consist of approximately 70% water. The elemental compounds of the Earth—including oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus—constitute 99% of the human body. Our bones, teeth, breath, and blood share the same minerals, air, and water as the Earth. Thus, it is not a leap to understand how the specific geography, soil quality, climate, and altitude would dramatically alter the evolutionary makeup of a people.
We are made of the Earth: a soul living in an earthen vessel. This aspect of us embodies our humanity: beautiful, messy, chaotic, and layered with complexity. We come here to experience and engage with a physical realm in which we can play and create. While there are rules—such as forgetting who we were before—there exists also a great deal of freedom.
Our soul memory may be forgotten but is always available. It sometimes manifests as intuition, dreams, déjà vu, wisdom, or a simple knowing. We are here to experience, learn, and evolve. We assume roles throughout our lifetimes that expand our consciousness as we participate in the grand evolution of all that is.
If the soul possesses memory, then the self is not solely defined by experiences, trauma, nationality, religion, or even biology. I am not discounting the effects of these influences on our human experience, but they do not define us; they are simply parts of our journey on Earth.
Why is it essential to grasp this understanding? Because we often defer our authority to these constructs: experiences, trauma, nationality, culture, religion, political leaders, systems of authority, and even biology (family). We hold such systems in high regard, and our experiences—especially traumas—shape our perceptions in ways that lead us to relinquish our power to them, causing these constructs to dominate our lives. Our trauma becomes intertwined within our bodies and psyches, compelling us to capitulate to the past pain, emotions, grief, loss, fear, shame, and guilt.
But the truth is that authority is internal and should not be imposed. A society built on consumption and obedience cannot thrive if individuals start to question, “Who was I before this?” When we begin to seek the answer to “Who am I?” a door opens that cannot be easily closed, leading us to perceive the power dynamics of current systems. Once we see, unseeing is no longer an option; we will be transformed, and we will yearn for truth, peace, love, community, collaboration, and sustainable living—and we will believe it is possible.
Our systems are fraught with corruption and greed, making it difficult to envision an alternative. If we can remember our origins—Cosmic Consciousness—we can reconnect with the truth of our oneness. We are all intrinsically linked and filled with love. Our souls harbor these truths.

Love can serve as an anchor or reference point for humanity. It is fierce and honest, compassionate and nurturing. Love demands of us integrity of self and in our treatment of others, our planet, and all its inhabitants.
Love represents a high-frequency state of being, guiding us toward experiencing and cultivating other elevated states like gratitude, joy, and confidence. These elevated states are from where I wish to make my choices—in the stillness of my center when I feel grounded and at peace. Personally, I choose to err on the side of Life, Love, and Liberty because these are the ripples I wish to send into the world.
We are here for a brief visit. Ensure that you leave your earthly home and its inhabitants better than you found them. My mom taught me that whenever you go somewhere, leave it better; that lesson has remained with me.
There is an echo of remembrance within each of us; a remembrance of who we are at our core, of where we are from and where we are going. This whisper guides us gently with a quiet knowing toward where we are longing to go; Home. Home is a state of being; a sacred state of love, safety, belonging and being true to who we are and all that is. Jude Hung
Do you remember who you are? Why you are here? Are you awakening? Are you recalling the truth of your being?
Get curious. Seek, and you shall find. You are more powerful than you know. What you dream is meant for you.
Rise and shine, my darlings.
