ZAP! A spark of light. An idea born. A concept nurtured, cared for and developed. Creation…
When we were young we played, we imagined, we created easily and effortlessly with a sense of freedom and fun. We colored, built, painted, sculpted playdoh, we ate playdoh and sniffed markers, ran, rolled, jumped, flew, dressed up, played with dolls, legos and toy soldiers, and cooked in tiny kitchens. We enjoyed and explored our inner and outer worlds easily not thinking much about the separation between them. Maybe that is where the magic lies.
“He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” — Jesus, Matt. 18:2-4
What did he mean with those words?
Well, we know he wasn’t talking about entering a lofty afterlife. When Jesus spoke of heaven it was often in the context and understanding of heaven being something we create, a kingdom within, being manifest here on earth as well as something eternal. AND thankfully, this post is NOT about that.
But what he IS saying interests me. He is saying something important about keeping our childlike faith. What does that mean? What does that look like? When in ministry, I thought it meant a simple childlike mindset, being open minded, seeing the world with wonderment, and believing scriptures easily. On some level my understanding was correct, but there was more he was pointing to. He was trying to expose a hidden truth that adults tend to not see, but children do naturally.
Before man flew, a child did.
Early, very early on December 31st, I woke up with a revelation. Groggily I reached for my phone and began to record, long ago I realized journaling is less likely to actually happen in those moments.
The recording is quietly whispered and starts like this, “Children are magical creatures who intuitively create, consciously create worlds, with imagination, they intuitively know and create their reality. They are young and vulnerable so when trauma, disappointment, other people’s realities get mashed onto theirs, or smother, or destroy theirs, those moments emotionally and energetically are very powerful moments and they leave energetic scars and trauma in the body. Causing there to be (yawn, yes, I actually yawned here it was 3am) a change in hardwiring within our systems because in those moments something comes crashing in and we don’t know other than to agree with that as reality. Now we believe; I am bad, I can’t do x, y or z, I am weak, nobody loves me, I am different, I am going to be abandoned or betrayed, things that become very deep in our subconscious. These subconscious wirings now affect our reality. Now what we consciously create draws what we don’t want to ourselves, because subconsciously we actually believe this other thing. So now, our reality affirms this belief because we are drawing the very thing we are not wanting to draw to ourselves and continues to tell us; yep you can’t count on anybody, life is hard, you have to work hard, nothing comes easy, nothing goes your way, I am ugly, I can’t do the things I dream to do, I don’t have what it takes, I am not enough. Whatever we agreed to at the time, because the disappointment or wound, we made a contract within ourselves to believe that and it shaped us and changed our reality. Slowly we stopped believing in the magic, stopped believing in our power to create and in the place of our creative power we now accept whatever comes our way. Over time, we lost touch with our inner-self, intuition, power and Source. Source, Life, the Universe, because we are source energy, we are love, magicians and powerful creators. We piece by piece by piece give that away and throughout our lives we have these moments of awakening, where we sense and see that there is more, that we are more, and we are filled with optimism and belief……”

When we were young we dreamed and believed in magic. Creating was fun and carefree for most of us. I dreamed of being a Broadway Star. I spent most of my youth singing. I absolutely love to sing. In making music I feel joyful, free, light and able to express things from deep within. But, somehow, I didn’t believe I could, I didn’t think I was good enough, so I didn’t even try. Too afraid of others critique, I never sang in front of anyone (on purpose) until I was in my 20’s and on the church worship team. By then I had given up my Broadway dreams and had new ones in its place.
So, what happened? Beliefs. Mindset. Limiting ideas.
I was going to write HERE about the science of energy behind this, the coding, our coding, so to speak. Alas, the computer kept acting crazy, I would save and it wouldn’t save. So each time my blog morphed a bit and I am feeling it doesn’t matter. Universe had other plans. I could write the supporting energetic theories and knowledge here, but this is more simple and direct.
Recently, I have been working on adding to my business. Behind the scenes imagining and creating. Excited dreaming. Some things have already come to be, yay, others are in process. I am taking a program that at the beginning was kicking my *ss. Limiting beliefs and mindsets were popping up and making me frantic. My mind was like a caged animal. I knew what was happening, but couldn’t seem to get out of it’s grip. Finally, exasperated and exhausted mentally, I decided to take a break. It was the holidays. Just enjoy peace and family. After a couple of days, I felt better, mind more clear. Someone advised me, “it’s a process, it will always be evolving, just have fun.” So, I did, an since then, it has been much easier.
So, simply, be like a child. Tap into the authentic you. Have fun, be light hearted as much as possible. Enjoy your life, all it’s moments. Try all the things you want to try. Have fun with it. Why not? Isn’t feeling good reason enough? Isn’t tapping into the joy, creativity, magic, power, imagination and freedom of your inner-child a tantalizing option?
Energetically, this will raise your vibration, make you feel better mind, body and spirit and enable you to create new worlds….just imagine.
“All that we are is the result of thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.” — Buddha
